SYNOPSIS: Yefim Shubentsov, an immigrant from Moscow, claims to have healed thousands of people who have visited his office in Boston over the past 20 years. Their complaints range from addictions (smoking, drinking, overeating, etc.) to chronic pain and even phobias (such as the fear of heights). People from all over the country and the world seek out his unusual ability to cure. With a mere wave of his hand, Shubentsov changes people's lives forever. Shubentsov says that "bioenergy" is responsible for his powers. He discovered his unique skill while a young man in Russia. He could bring plants back to life as well stop the pain from migraine headaches. How he does what he does is a total mystery. But his patients wholeheartedly endorse his work. In the "UNSOLVED MYSTERIES" story, a woman was cured of smoking while another put a stop to her habit of overeating. Each participated in a group session in which Shubentsov spoke for several hours.
