SYNOPSIS: In the early 1970's. Robert Wortman was in the Air Force officer and was stationed in Seoul. In 1972 he met and married a Korean woman named Ok Cha. Robert called her Sunny. They had a daughter, Stella, who was born on January 6, 1973. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to an Air Force Base in Japan. Stella remembers visiting the ice-cream parlor where her mother worked. All in all, it was a blissful time for young Stella. A few years later, Stella's father requested a transfer to New Jersey. Shortly before the move, Sunny went to visit her family in Seoul. But on move day, Sunny had not yet returned. Robert learned from friends that Sunny had no interest in moving to America. So little Stella lived with her grandmother in New Jersey. Two years passed when Stella's grandmother received a phone call. The caller, speaking a foreign language called out "Stella, Stella, Stella." But unable to understand English, they soon hung up. Stella's grandmother believes it was Sunny's family. Two years later, Stella received a package containing four dresses, and a white stuffed dog. The package was sent from Sunny---postmarked from California. Stella wonders where her mother might be. Most importantly, is there a chance that the two can meet again? If you have any information about this case, please call the Unsolved Mysteries' phone center at 1-800-876-5353.
